Apply for a Viber Service ID, change message destinations, or suspend the service in Chat App Message Service.

Before you begin

Created a Viber channel.

Apply for a Viber Service ID

Note

Each Viber channel supports only one Viber Business Account. To manage multiple accounts, create multiple channels.

Your Service ID is generated after Viber approves your Business Account. Ensure all submitted information is accurate.

  1. Log on to the Chat App Message Service console.

  2. In the left navigation pane, choose Channel Management.

  3. Click the Channel ID of the Viber channel you want to manage.

  4. Choose Service Number Management.

  5. Click Apply for Service Number.

  6. On the application page, fill in the Basic Information. For a detailed explanation of each field, see the Application field descriptions section.

    1. Complete the form and click Submit for Review to submit, or click Save to save a draft.

    2. To continue editing a saved draft, click Edit.

    Note

    After submission, wait for Viber review. If rejected, correct the application based on the feedback.

    Once approved, your account details appear on the Service Number Management page.

Business Account Name

Your Viber Business Account name.

Enterprise Legal Name

Must match your registration documents or business license.

Supports English letters, digits, spaces, special characters (*'&+), and common symbols (©®™§°$€£¥).

Business License Registration Number

From your business license or registration documents issued by local authorities.

Supports English letters, digits, spaces, special characters (*'&+), and common symbols (©®™§°$€£¥).

Headquarters Address

Headquarters address as shown on official records. Viber may request registration documents, including a certified English translation if applicable, for verification.

Viber uses this address to determine billing rates: messages to the headquarters country are billed at local rates; all other countries at a flat international rate.

Enterprise Legal Person Name

Your company's legal representative.

Supports English letters, digits, spaces, special characters (*'&+), and common symbols (©®™§°$€£¥).

Enterprise Profile

Brief company introduction, up to 1,000 characters.


Enterprise Address

Your company address. Up to 5 addresses supported.


Enterprise Phone Number

Your company phone number. Up to 5 numbers supported.


Enterprise Website

Your company's official website URL.

  • Must start with http:// or https://.

  • Must be a publicly accessible URL.

  • Must not be a link to an app download, media page, or other irrelevant content.

Industry

Your company's industry category.

Select the most relevant industry. For lending businesses, choose Microcredit or Loans (unless you are a bank). For gaming, gambling, or betting, select Gaming or Gambling.

Viber considers these special industries, and they require a signed Letter of Guarantee and a business license.

Age Limit

Age restriction for your services.

Options: No restriction, 18+, or 21+.

English Enterprise Name

Your company's full English name.


Enterprise Registration Country/Region

Country or region of company registration.


Local Destination Country or Region

Must match your headquarters country/region.

International Destination Country or Region (Multi-select)

Countries or regions where you send messages.

Optional. Up to 20 destinations (excluding your local country/region). Charged at international rates regardless of message type. Only Viber-approved countries are supported.

Activation Date (GMT)

GMT date when business messaging activates. Messages cannot be sent before this date.

The monthly fee is waived for the activation month. Starting the following month, the minimum monthly fee applies if usage is below the threshold.

Business Conversation Name

Sender name displayed to end users.

Can be in your native language.

Business Conversation Description

Brief account or business description, up to 400 characters.

Displayed to end users on Viber.

Logo

Company logos in various sizes. PNG format, under 200 KB each.

Logo must be complete, centered, and not cropped. Provide all required dimensions.

Letter of Guarantee

Viber's official Letter of Guarantee.

Optional for standard industries. Required for special industries (microcredit, loans, gaming, betting, gambling). The system provides the template when you select an industry.

Applications with a mismatched industry and Letter of Guarantee will be rejected.

Additional Information

For special industries (gaming, gambling, microcredit, loans), Viber may require local authority licenses.

Package all license files into a single ZIP archive.

Not required for standard industries.

Apply to change destinations

Apply to add or remove destination countries for your messages.

  1. Click Change Destination.

  2. In the dialog box, select the new destinations.

  3. Click OK. Track the approval status on the Service Number Management page.

Request service suspension

Request to temporarily suspend your Viber service.

  1. Click Apply for Suspension.

  2. In the dialog box, select the suspension date and provide a reason.

  3. Click OK. Track the request status on the Service Number Management page.

    Note

    The suspension date is in GMT. Billing stops from the month after the approved suspension date. Requests submitted after the 25th cannot apply to the current month. Actual suspension timing is subject to Viber approval.

Webhook settings

On the channel management page, click Phone Number Webhook Settings for the corresponding phone number to open the webhook configuration dialog.

Configure HTTP callbacks

  • HTTP Protocol: Enable or disable the HTTP protocol. When enabled, the callback URL configuration below becomes available.

After enabling the HTTP protocol, configure the following callback URLs (required when enabled):

  • Status Report Callback URL: Enter the callback URL for status reports.

  • MO Message Callback URL: Enter the callback URL for upstream messages.

  • Template Review Webhook Address: Enter the callback URL for template review.

Configure message queue monitoring

  • Message Queue Monitoring: Enable or disable message queue monitoring.

When enabled, the system automatically assigns the following message queue addresses (read-only, supports copying):

  • Message Receipt Queue: Displays the message queue address for status receipts. Click the copy icon to copy the address (a "Copied." message is displayed after successful copying).

  • MO Message Queue: Displays the message queue address for upstream messages.

  • Template Review Message Queue: Displays the message queue address for template review.

After configuration, click Confirm to save the webhook settings. A success message Updated. is displayed and the dialog closes.
