Internet Shared Bandwidth enables bandwidth sharing and reuse at the region level. After you create an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, you can add Elastic IP Addresses (EIPs) to the instance to share its bandwidth.
Internet Shared Bandwidth line types
Internet Shared Bandwidth instances support two line types: BGP (Multi-ISP) and BGP (Multi-ISP)_Premium. The following table compares the two line types.
Comparison item | BGP (Multi-ISP) Internet Shared Bandwidth | BGP (Multi-ISP)_Premium Internet Shared Bandwidth |
Supported line types of EIPs that can be added | BGP (Multi-ISP) EIPs | BGP (Multi-ISP)_Premium EIPs |
Supported regions | All regions | China (Hong Kong), Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Philippines (Manila), Indonesia (Jakarta), and Thailand (Bangkok) In the Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Philippines (Manila), Indonesia (Jakarta), and Thailand (Bangkok) regions, BGP (Multi-ISP)_Premium lines support only the pay-as-you-go billing method. |
Create an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance
Console
Log on to the Internet Shared Bandwidth console and click Purchase Internet Shared Bandwidth.
Region: An EIP can be added only to an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance that is in the same region.
Line Type: An EIP can be added only to a shared bandwidth instance that has the same line type.
Currently, only the China (Hong Kong), Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Philippines (Manila), Indonesia (Jakarta), and Thailand (Bangkok) regions support BGP (Multi-ISP)_Premium Internet Shared Bandwidth instances.
Billing Method: If the Line Type is BGP (Multi-ISP), only the Pay By Traffic billing method is supported. If the Line Type is BGP (Multi-ISP)_Premium, the Pay by bandwidth billing method is used by default.
Bandwidth: The bandwidth of the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, in Mbps.
API
You can call the CreateCommonBandwidthPackage operation to create an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
Add EIPs to or remove EIPs from an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance
After you create an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, you can add EIPs to the instance to share its bandwidth and reduce your Internet bandwidth costs.
The EIPs must meet the following requirements: The billing method of the EIPs is pay-as-you-go. The EIPs are in the same region as the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance. The EIPs use the same line type as the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
After an EIP is added to an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance:
The ECS instance, SLB instance, and NAT Gateway that are associated with the EIP share the bandwidth of the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
The original peak bandwidth of the EIP becomes invalid. The EIP uses the peak bandwidth of the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
The original billing method of the EIP becomes invalid. You are no longer charged for the data transfer of the EIP.
EIP configuration fees are not affected by whether the EIP is added to an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
A single Internet Shared Bandwidth instance can contain up to 100 EIP. To add more EIP, you can request a quota increase.
Console
Add an EIP to an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance
Log on to the Internet Shared Bandwidth console.
Click Add IP in the Actions column of the target Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
If no EIPs are available in the region, you can click Buy EIP and add to Bandwidth Package and enter the number of EIPs to purchase. The system automatically creates the specified number of pay-as-you-go EIPs and adds them to the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance. You can purchase up to 50 EIPs at a time.
If EIPs are available in the region, click Select from EIP List and select the EIPs that you want to add from the list of available EIPs.
Remove an EIP from an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance
After an EIP is removed from an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, the EIP reverts to its peak bandwidth and billing method before it was added to the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
Click Manage in the Actions column of the target Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
Find the EIP that you want to remove. In the Actions column, click .
After an EIP is removed from an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, you can adjust the EIP's peak bandwidth or billing method or release the EIP instance as needed.
API
You can call the AddCommonBandwidthPackageIp operation to add an EIP to an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
You can call the AddCommonBandwidthPackageIps operation to add multiple EIPs to an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance in a batch.
You can call the RemoveCommonBandwidthPackageIp operation to remove an EIP from an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
Delete an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance
If the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance that you want to delete contains EIPs, you must first remove the EIPs from the instance.
Console
Log on to the Internet Shared Bandwidth console. Find the target instance and choose .
API
You can call the DeleteCommonBandwidthPackage operation to delete an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
