Internet Shared Bandwidth instances support bandwidth sharing and reuse within the same region. After you create an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, you can add elastic IP addresses (EIPs) to the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance to enable bandwidth Multiplexing among the EIPs.
Line types
Internet Shared Bandwidth instances support two line types: BGP (Multi-ISP) and BGP (Multi-ISP) Pro. The following table describes the differences.
Item | BGP (Multi-ISP) | BGP (Multi-ISP) Pro |
Supported EIPs | EIPs of BGP (Multi-ISP) | EIPs of BGP (Multi-ISP) Pro |
Supported regions | All regions | China (Hong Kong), Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Philippines (Manila), Indonesia (Jakarta), and Thailand (Bangkok) Note BGP (Multi-ISP) Pro lines support only the pay-as-you-go billing method in the following regions: Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Philippines (Manila), Indonesia (Jakarta), and Thailand (Bangkok). |
Create an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance
Log on to the Internet Shared Bandwidth console.
On the Internet Shared Bandwidth page, click Purchase Internet Shared Bandwidth.
On the buy page, configure the following parameters, click Buy Now, and then complete the payment.
Parameter
Description
Region
Select the region where you want to create the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
Make sure that the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance is created in the same region as the EIPs that you want to associate with the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
Line Type
Select a line type for the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
BGP (Multi-ISP): If you select this line type, you can associate only EIPs of BGP (Multi-ISP) with the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
BGP (Multi-ISP)_Pro: If you select this line type, you can associate only EIPs of BGP (Multi-ISP) Pro with the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
NoteBGP (Multi-ISP)_Pro is available only in the following regions: China (Hong Kong), Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Philippines (Manila), Indonesia (Jakarta), and Thailand (Bangkok).
Billing Method
Select a billing method for the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
If you set the Line Type parameter to BGP (Multi-ISP), you can select only Pay By Traffic.
If you set the Line Type parameter to BGP (Multi-ISP)_Pro, you can select only Pay by Bandwidth.
Bandwidth
Specify a maximum bandwidth value. Unit: Mbit/s.
Name
Enter a name for the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
Resource Group
Select the resource group to which the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance belongs.
Purchase Quantity
Specify the number of Internet Shared Bandwidth instances that you want to purchase.
After the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance is created, you can associate EIPs with the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance. This way, the EIPs share the bandwidth of the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance to reduce bandwidth costs.
Associate EIPs with an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance
Limits
To associate an EIP with an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, the EIP must meet the following requirements:
The EIPs are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.
The EIP and the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance belong to the same region.
The line type of the EIPs is the same as that of the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
After you associate EIPs with an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance:
Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances, Server Load Balancer (SLB) instances, and NAT gateways with which the EIPs are associated share the bandwidth of the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
The previous maximum bandwidth of the EIPs becomes invalid. The maximum bandwidth of the EIPs equals the maximum bandwidth of the associated Internet Shared Bandwidth instance.
The previous billing method of the EIPs becomes invalid. You are no longer charged data transfer fees for the EIPs.
The configuration fees for the EIPs remain unchanged. For more information about the configuration fee, see Billing overview.
You can associate at most 100 EIPs with each Internet Shared Bandwidth instance. To associate more EIPs with an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, request a quota increase. For more information, see Manage Internet Shared Bandwidth quotas.
Procedure
Log on to the Internet Shared Bandwidth console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region where the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance resides.
On the Internet Shared Bandwidth page, find the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance and click Add IP in the Actions column.
In the Add IP panel, add EIPs based on the following requirements and click OK.
If no EIP is available in the current region, click Buy EIP and add to Bandwidth Package and specify the number of EIPs to be purchased.
The system automatically creates the specified number of EIPs that are charged on a pay-as-you-go basis, and associates them with the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance. You can purchase up to 50 EIPs at a time.
If EIPs are available in the current region, click Select from EIP List and select the EIPs that you want to add.
Manage EIPs associated with an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance
Associate an EIP with a resource
After you associate an EIP with an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, you can associate the EIP with a cloud resource. Then, you can manage the inbound and outbound Internet traffic through the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, which provides Gbit/s-level maximum bandwidth.
Log on to the Internet Shared Bandwidth console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region in which the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance is created.
On the Internet Shared Bandwidth page, find the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance and click Manage in the Actions column.
On the IP Management for Internet Shared Bandwidth tab, find the EIP that you want to manage and click Bind in the Actions column.
In the Associate EIP with Resource dialog box, specify the type and ID of the cloud resource to be associated with the EIP and click OK.
For more information about the types of cloud resources that can be associated with EIPs, see the following topics:
Disassociate an EIP from a cloud resource
You can dissociate an EIP from a cloud resource when the cloud resource no longer needs to communicate with the Internet.
Log on to the Internet Shared Bandwidth console.
In the top navigation bar, select the region in which the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance is created.
On the Internet Shared Bandwidth page, find the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance and click Manage in the Actions column.
On the IP Management for Internet Shared Bandwidth tab, find the EIP that you want to manage and click in the Actions column.
In the Unbind Elastic IP Address message, click OK.
Disassociate an EIP from an EIP bandwidth plan
You can disassociate an EIP from an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance. After an EIP is disassociated from an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance, the bandwidth and the billing method of the EIP before the EIP is associated with the Internet Shared Bandwidth instance are restored.
In the Disassociate EIP from EIP Bandwidth Plan message, click OK.
After an EIP is disassociated from an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance:
For more information about how to change the maximum bandwidth or billing method of an EIP, see Change the configurations of a pay-as-you-go EIP.
For more information about how to release an EIP, see Release an EIP.
Delete an Internet Shared Bandwidth instance
Make sure that no EIPs are associated with the EIP bandwidth plan that you want to delete.
