Alibaba’s Quark Unveils Revamped AI Browser, Deeply Integrated with Qwen

Alibaba Group announced that Alibaba’s AI model (Qwen) and newly launched AI application (Qwen App), are now natively embedded in Quark’s newly revamped AI browser desktop version. This deep integration brings instant, always-on AI assistance to more than 100 million Quark desktop users, marking another major step in Alibaba’s consumer AI strategy and solidifying Qwen as the central intelligence engine across its consumer ecosystem.

The latest Quark AI browser—available for both macOS and windows, embeds Qwen not only as a plug-in, but also as the foundational “system engine” of the platform on its PC version. Seamlessly integrated into Quark’s clean, minimalist interface, Qwen is directly accessible from the homepage search bar or via a persistent sidebar—enabling fluid, multitasking interactions such as conversational chat while browsing, summarizing, editing content in real time, and receiving instant answers without switching tabs.

Even without opening the browser tab, users can keep Qwen instantly accessible on their desktop with the Qwen Floating Ball. This always-on interface provides seamless access to the Qwen Smart Suite—natively embedded in the Quark AI browser—a collection of intelligent, context-aware tools including Qwen Screen Reader, Qwen Chatbot Quick Bar, Qwen Sidebar, Qwen Text Selector, and Qwen Screenshot.

These tools bring AI directly into everyday workflows—searching, reading, writing, and document handling—making intelligence ambient and actionable across the desktop.

Launched in 2016 as a web browser incubated within Alibaba Group, Quark has become a leading AI-powered information services platform. Today, it has one of the largest user base for AI search in the market, with over 200 million users in China.

Recently, Alibaba launched its latest consumer-facing AI application Qwen App, which has surpassed 10 million downloads within the first week of public beta launch, becoming one of the fastest-growing AI applications to date.
