This topic describes how to configure the shortcut keypress handler and mouse mode for a cloud computer on the desktop client.

Important

This topic uses the macOS client V7.13 and the Enterprise Edition as an example. If your experience differs from the description in this topic, you may be using a different client or an outdated version. Upgrade to the latest version.

Prerequisites

You have signed in to the desktop client. For more information, see Sign in to the desktop client.
You have been assigned a cloud computer. If no cloud computer appears after you sign in, contact your IT administrator to assign one to you. For more information, see Assign cloud computers to users.

Configure keyboard response

You can configure whether the cloud computer or the local system responds to keyboard shortcuts (such as Ctrl+C) and function keys (such as F1 to F12) in different states.

Connect to the cloud computer.
Open the DesktopAssistant and click Settings.
On the Preferences > Control tab, set the shortcut keypress handler for Windowed Mode and Fullscreen Mode.
(Optional) Set the shortcut key to exit full-screen mode for the cloud computer. The default shortcut key is Ctrl+Q.
Note
This feature is available only on the Windows client.

Configure the mouse mode

By default, when you use a cloud computer in Windowed Mode, the mouse pointer can move outside the window. This behavior can disrupt 3D games and applications. To enable a relative mouse experience, turn on Confine Cursor. This feature restricts the pointer to the cloud computer window, ensuring smooth 360-degree rotation in 3D games and applications.

Prerequisites

You use the Windows client or macOS client (V7.2 or later) to connect to the cloud computer.
The cloud computer must be a Graphics cloud computer that uses a gpu-accelerated image.

Procedure

Connect to the cloud computer.
Open the DesktopAssistant and click Settings.
On the Preferences > Control tab, enable Confine Cursor.
(Optional) The default shortcut to release the cursor is Ctrl+Option+2 (or Ctrl+Alt+2). Pressing this shortcut temporarily releases the cursor from the cloud computer window. You can set a custom shortcut.
Note
The DesktopAssistant is outside the cloud computer window, so you cannot click it when Confine Cursor is enabled. To access it, press the shortcut to release the cursor.
(Optional) In addition to using keyboard shortcuts, you can also press the Esc key twice to temporarily release the cursor. To use this feature, enable the Press Esc Twice to Release Cursor switch.
