WUYING Terminal:Adjust the cloud computer display

Last Updated:Sep 05, 2025

This topic describes how to adjust the display of a cloud computer on the desktop client, including its resolution, scaling ratio, display quality, and screen rotation. This topic also describes how to use the full-screen and dual-screen modes. The dual-screen mode lets you handle multiple tasks at once, which reduces screen switching and improves work efficiency.

Important

This topic uses the macOS client V7.13 and the Enterprise Edition as an example. If your experience differs from the description in this topic, you may be using a different client or an outdated version. Upgrade to the latest version.

Prerequisites

  • You are logged on to the desktop client. For more information, see Log on to a desktop client.

  • The desktop client is V6.2 or later.

  • A cloud computer is assigned to you. If no cloud computer is available after you log on, contact your IT administrator to assign a cloud computer to you. For more information, see Add a user to a cloud computer.

Adjust the resolution and scaling ratio

You can adjust the display resolution and user interface (UI) scaling ratio of the cloud computer on the desktop client.

  1. Connect to the cloud computer.

  2. Open the floating bar and click Settings.

  3. Go to the Preferences > Display tab and configure the settings.

    • Administrator-controlled mode

If an administrator sets the Resolution Settings to Fixed in the policy associated with your cloud computer, you cannot change the resolution, and the scaling ratio is fixed at 100%.

      tab_preferences_display_locked

    • End user-defined mode

If the administrator sets Resolution Settings to Adaptive in the policy associated with your cloud computer, you can change Resolution and Scaling.

      Note

Non-graphics cloud computers support a maximum resolution of 2K, while graphics cloud computers support a maximum resolution of 4K. If you require a resolution higher than 2K, such as 4K, you must use a graphics cloud computer. The on-premises device that runs the client must also support the required resolution.

Adjust the display quality

You can adjust the display quality of the cloud computer on the desktop client.

  1. Connect to the cloud computer.

  2. Open the floating bar and click Settings.

  3. Go to the Preferences > Display Quality tab and configure the settings.

    • Administrator-controlled mode

If your administrator specifies a display mode in the policy associated with your cloud computer, the display mode is locked and you cannot change it. This feature requires that the image version of your cloud computer is V2.1.0 or later. For example, if the administrator sets the display mode to Daily Office Scenario, the display preference is locked to that value.

    • End user-defined mode

If your cloud computer's image version is earlier than V2.1.0, or if an administrator sets the display mode to End User-defined Configuration in the policy for your cloud computer (this is a feature that requires image version V2.1.0 or later), you can select the following options on the Display tab:

      tab_preferences_graphic

      • Intelligent mode: The cloud computer automatically adjusts the frame rate and display quality based on the scenario, device, and network conditions.

      • Smoothness priority: The maximum frame rate is 60 FPS and the maximum display quality is Good. You cannot change these values.

      • Quality priority: The maximum frame rate is 30 FPS and the maximum display quality is Excellent. You cannot change these values.

      • Custom: You can customize the display quality parameters. A higher frame rate and better display quality require better device performance and network conditions. The real-time frame rate and display quality are dynamically adjusted based on your device and network conditions.

        • Maximum frame rate: The number of frames that appear on the display per second. A higher frame rate results in smoother video playback. The unit is frames per second (FPS). The value ranges from 10 to 60.

        • Maximum display quality: The highest quality that the cloud computer display can render.

          Note

The available options depend on the display quality policies that the administrator has enabled for the cloud computer. If the available display quality options do not meet your needs, contact your administrator to enable more display quality policies.

Use the full-screen mode

After you connect to the cloud computer, it is displayed in window mode by default.

Enter the full-screen mode

To enter the full-screen mode, open the floating bar on the cloud computer desktop and select Fullscreen.

Exit the full-screen mode

You can exit the full-screen mode in one of the following ways:

  • Open the floating bar on the cloud computer desktop and select Exit Fullscreen. The cloud computer returns to window mode.

  • Open the floating bar on the cloud computer desktop and select Minimize. The cloud computer desktop is hidden, and only the desktop of your on-premises computer is displayed.

    Note

The minimize feature is supported only on the Windows client V6.7 or later.

  • Press the Ctrl+Q keyboard shortcut to exit the full-screen mode.

    Note

This keyboard shortcut is supported only on the Windows client V7.7 or later.

Use the dual-screen mode

The dual-screen mode lets you handle multiple tasks at once, which reduces screen switching and improves work efficiency.

If your on-premises computer is connected to an external monitor, you can use the dual-screen feature by enabling the Cloud Computer Dual Display switch. When the cloud computer is in full-screen mode, its dual-screen display format (extended or duplicated screen) uses the same settings as your on-premises computer by default. After you change this setting, you must exit and then re-enter full-screen mode for the change to take effect.

Note

The dual-screen settings apply only to the current cloud computer.

Prerequisites

  • Connect an external monitor to your on-premises computer.

  • The image version of the cloud computer must be V2.5.1 or later to set the resolution and scaling ratio for each screen separately.

Enable the dual-screen mode for the cloud computer

Before you enable the dual-screen mode, make sure that an external monitor is connected to your on-premises computer and is working correctly.

  1. Connect to the cloud computer.

  2. Open the floating bar and click Settings.

  3. Go to the Preferences > Display tab and turn on the Cloud Computer Dual Display switch.

    tab_preferences_display

If this switch is disabled, when you enter full-screen mode, the cloud computer is displayed in full screen only on the monitor where its window is open. The other monitor continues to display the desktop of your on-premises computer.

Enter the dual-screen mode for the cloud computer

After you enable the dual-screen mode, the cloud computer desktop is displayed on both monitors when you enter full-screen mode.

Note

The dual-screen display mode of the cloud computer defaults to the projection settings of your on-premises computer (Duplicate mode or Extend mode).

Set the resolution and scaling ratio for each screen

When the cloud computer is in dual-screen mode, you can set the resolution and scaling ratio for each screen.

  1. Connect to the cloud computer.

  2. Open the floating bar and click Settings.

  3. Go to the Preferences > Display tab and set the resolution and scaling ratio for the primary and secondary screens.

    Note

This feature requires that the image version of your cloud computer is V2.5.1 or later.

Minimize the cloud computer desktop

The minimize feature in the floating bar lets you quickly switch from the cloud computer desktop back to your on-premises computer desktop.

Note

The minimize feature is supported only on the Windows client V6.7 or later.

When you are in dual-screen mode, using the Exit Fullscreen feature resets the window layout of your cloud computer desktop. For example, if you have windows arranged across both screens, they will all be moved to a single screen after you exit and re-enter full-screen mode. To preserve your window layout, select Minimize from the floating bar instead.
