To facilitate bandwidth management of bandwidth plans for application acceleration, you can set maximum bandwidth values for the client accounts of a Smart Access Gateway (SAG) app instance.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that:
A client account is created. For more information, see Create a client account.
A bandwidth plan for application acceleration is associated with the SAG app instance, and a maximum bandwidth value is set for that instance. For more information, see Associate an application acceleration plan with an SAG instance.
The SAG app is version 2.4.0 or later. For more information, see Install the SAG app.
Bandwidth limits and defaults
The maximum bandwidth value for a client cannot exceed the maximum bandwidth value of the SAG app instance to which the client account belongs.
When no per-client limit is set, the default bandwidth for each client depends on the instance-level limit:
Instance bandwidth Default client bandwidth Lower than 5 Mbit/s (for example, 4 Mbit/s) Same as the instance value (4 Mbit/s) Higher than 5 Mbit/s 5 Mbit/s
Set the bandwidth limit
Log on to the SAG console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Smart Access Gateway App > SAG App Instances.
On the SAG App Instances page, click the ID of the SAG app instance you want to manage.
On the instance details page, click the Client Accounts tab.
Find the client account, then in the Actions column, click
> Modify Bandwidth. In the Modify Bandwidth dialog box, set a maximum bandwidth value.
The value must not exceed the maximum bandwidth set for the SAG app instance.
Click OK.
