    Smart Access Gateway:Install the SAG app

    After you purchase and configure a Smart Access Gateway (SAG) app instance, you can download and install the SAG app to easily access Alibaba Cloud from mobile devices.

    Installation notes

    You can install the SAG app on the following operating systems: Windows, Android, macOS, and iOS. The following table lists the versions supported by each operating system and the download methods.

    Windows

    Windows 7 SP1 and later (32-bit and 64-bit).

    You can use one of the following methods to download and install the SAG app:

    • If you want to download the SAG app for your own use, you must download the SAG app that is designed for Windows 7 SP1 and later (32-bit and 64-bit). In this case, click Windows clients and select the Standalone version.

    • If you want to distribute the SAG app that uses the settings defined by a Group Policy Object (GPO) to a specified group of users as an administrator, click Windows clients and select System service version (x86) or System service version (x64).

      Note

      x86 refers to a 32-bit operating system while x64 refers to a 64-bit operating system.

    After you download the SAG app, follow the steps prompted by the operating system to install the SAG app.

    Android

    Android 5.0 to 10.0.

    To download the SAG app for Android, click the link.

    After you download the SAG app, follow the steps prompted by the operating system to install the SAG app.

    macOS

    macOS 10.11.1 and later.

    To download the SAG app for macOS from the App Store, use the keyword Aliyun Network Client to search for the SAG app and download it.

    Note

    Before you install the SAG app on macOS, read the following usage notes:

    • If custom primary and secondary DNS servers are configured for your SAG app instance and the SAG app runs on macOS, you must clear the Require an administrator password to access system-wide preferences option in System Preferences. Only then can the SAG app write the custom DNS settings to your macOS system.

    • For example, on macOS Big Sur 11.1, you can clear Require an administrator password to access system-wide preferences on the System Preferences > Security & Privacy (General) > Advanced page.

    After you read the usage notes, follow the steps prompted by the operating system to install the SAG app.

    iOS

    iOS 12.0 and later.

    In the App Store, use the keyword Aliyun Network Client to search for the SAG app and download it.

    Note

    If custom primary and secondary DNS servers are configured for your SAG app instance and the SAG app runs on iOS 13 or later, some iOS 13 systems may still retain the default DNS settings and the custom DNS settings do not take effect. In this case, exit the SAG app and reconnect to Alibaba Cloud.

    After you read the usage notes, follow the steps prompted by the operating system to install the SAG app.
