Each discount displayed on the official website takes effect as an additional discount on top of the list price. The final price displayed on the official website shall prevail. Alibaba Cloud reserves the ultimate right to interpret the price adjustment.
Subscription instances provide significant discounts in exchange for long-term commitments. Instances that have a long subscription duration have lower prices and reduce the unit cost of resources.
If you have a pay-as-you-go instance, you can change the billing method of the instance to subscription to enjoy the new discount. For more information, see Change the billing method to subscription.
Offset of price difference upon renewal
If you purchased subscription instances, you can renew the subscription instances within three months after the price reduction takes effect. Instances deployed in regions inside the Chinese mainland can be renewed from February 29, 2024 to May 31, 2024. Instances deployed in the China (Hong Kong) region and regions outside China can be renewed from April 9, 2024 to July 9, 2024. You can enjoy the new discounted prices displayed on the official website. Tair (Redis OSS-compatible) also provides credit to offset the difference between the original and new discounts for the instances within the unfulfilled subscription periods. Tair (Redis OSS-compatible) refunds the price difference upon renewal once for each subscription instance during the promotion.
This promotional event is available only for instances that are deployed in regions inside the Chinese mainland.
For example, if you purchased an instance at a 15% discount for a 1-year term and your subscription expires in 5 months, you can renew the instance for 1 year at the new discount rate of 32% off. In this case, you need to only pay the amount that is calculated by using the following formula: [1-year new discounted price - 5-month list price × (32% - 15%)]. After the instance is renewed, you can use the instance for one year and five months.
Applicable scope
The price adjustment applies to the discounted prices displayed on the official website based on the specific billing method and subscription duration. The discounted prices take effect only on orders that you place for additional purchase, renewal, and configuration change after the price reduction takes effect.

The price reduction directly takes effect on the listed prices without the need for other promotions. You can perform the required operations on the product buy page or in the console. After you perform the operations, you can enjoy the new discounted prices and receive the offset of the price difference within the unfulfilled subscription periods upon renewal.
