The storage capacity of PolarDB is automatically scaled in or out based on the amount of stored data. You do not
need to manually specify the storage capacity. You are charged only for the used space.
If you need to store a large amount of data, we recommend that you use PolarDB storage plans. This reduces the storage costs. This topic describes how to view the
deducted capacity of a storage plan.
Precautions
- You can view usage details of valid resource plans and resource plans that have expired
within one year.
- To view the storage usage of the current cluster, see View the database storage usage.
View usage details of a storage plan
- You can use one of the following methods to go to the Manage Reserved Instances page for PolarDB storage plans:
- Method 1:
- Log on to the PolarDB console.
- In the left-side navigation pane, click Storage Plan.
- Method 2:
- Log on to the Billing Management console.
- In the left-side navigation pane, click Resource Instances.
- On the Manage Reserved Instances page, select Resource Packages for Resource Type.
- On the Instances tab of the Manage Reserved Instances page, view the information about the storage plan, such as Status, Total Capacity, Remaining Capacity, Start Time, and End Time.
- On the Details tab of the Manage Reserved Instances page, view the usage details of the storage plan.
You can use storage plans to offset the used space of PolarDB clusters and the used space that exceeds the free quota for level-1 backups. For

Click the
icon in the Deducted Product column of the storage plan and select polardb_payg_intl or polardb_sub_intl This way, you can view the usge details of all the pay-as-you-go or subscription
clusters for which the storage plan is used to offset the used space within your account.

for level-1 backups
Click the
icon in the Deducted Product column of the storage plan and select polardb_backups_public_intl. This way, you can view usage details of a storage plan for the used space that exceeds
the free quota for level-1 backups.
