Change the specifications or node count of a Microservices Engine (MSE) cloud-native gateway to match your current workload. Scale up before traffic peaks or scale down to reduce costs during low-traffic periods.
Prerequisites
Impacts of specification changes
You can upgrade or downgrade MSE cloud-native gateways that use the subscription or pay-as-you-go billing method. Review the following impacts before you proceed:
| Scenario | Impact |
|---|---|
| All gateways | The change takes approximately 4 to 5 minutes. You cannot perform console operations on the gateway during this time. |
| Multi-node gateways (two or more nodes) | A rolling deployment runs automatically and data is synchronized across nodes. No service interruption occurs. |
| Single-node gateways | High availability is not supported. Service interruptions may occur during the change. |
Perform specification changes during off-peak hours to minimize the risk of service disruption.
