Tags and resource groups help you categorize and manage cloud resources by shared characteristics. In Microservices Engine (MSE), you can attach tags and assign resource groups to Microservices Registry, Cloud-native Gateway, and Microservices Governance resources.
Tags
Microservices Registry, Cloud-native Gateway, and Microservices Governance all support tags for identifying and filtering resources. Microservices Registry and Cloud-native Gateway support instance-level tags, and Microservices Governance supports application-level tags. Tags can also be used for cost allocation to trace and manage resource expenses. For more information, see Tags and Use tags to allocate costs.
Resource groups
Resource groups let you classify resources and manage permissions within an Alibaba Cloud account. Each cloud resource belongs to exactly one resource group. You can assign Microservices Registry instances to resource groups and filter instances by group. For more information, see Resource groups.
