Administrators can assign specific roles to members in a workspace, granting them permissions to use Model Studio features.
If you are not familiar with concepts such as workspace, Alibaba Cloud account, and RAM user, read Permissions first.
Visitor accounts do not have access to the role management feature. Use your Alibaba Cloud account or use an Admin account for the relevant workspace.
Role types
Super administrator (Super Admin): Represents the Alibaba Cloud account, unique and unchangeable. Has administrative permissions for all workspaces under this account.
Administrator (Admin): Has access to all features within the assigned workspace.
Visitor: Has access to all features within the assigned workspace, except for User management and Role management.
Modify user permissions
Role Management defines two default roles: Admin and Visitor. Super Admin or Admin can take the following steps to assign these roles to workspace members, granting them corresponding permissions.
Currently, you cannot customize roles or assign the Super Admin role.
Go to the User Management page. Click Edit Permission in the Actions column next to the desired user.
From the Role dropdown list in the Edit Permission panel, select the required role (selecting both Visitor and Admin has the same effect as selecting only Admin), and then click Save.
We recommend that you assign only the least privilege (role) required to complete the work to avoid unnecessary security risks.
You cannot perform the preceding operations by using APIs or command line tools.
