    Express Connect:Apply for a second Express Connect circuit installation

    If you need to re-enter the Alibaba Cloud data center for line adjustments or other changes after the initial Express Connect circuit installation, you must submit a second LOA (Letter of Authorization for circuit construction) application. This topic describes the application process.

    Procedure

    1. Log on to the Express Connect management console, find the target port instance on the Physical Ports page, and click Apply for LOA.

    2. In the Apply For LOA (Letter Of Authorization For Circuit Construction) panel, enter the required information, and click OK.

      Configuration

      Description

      Company Name

      Enter the company name as specified during Alibaba Cloud account creation for corporate accounts, or the Alibaba Cloud account owner's name for individual users.

      If you are an individual user, enter the name of the Alibaba Cloud account owner.

      Construction Unit Entering Alibaba Data Center

      Specify the name of the carrier's unit, typically the leased line carrier or IDC carrier.

      Type Of Leased Line

      Select from MSTP, MPLSVPN, Optical Fiber Direct Connection, or Other as the leased line type.

      Planned Construction Time

      Indicate the entry time for the leased line construction unit.

      Customer IDC Address

      Provide the specific address of the user's IDC.

      Bandwidth Value Of Physical Leased Line

      Enter the bandwidth value as stated in your physical leased line contract.

      Note

      This bandwidth value is for Alibaba Cloud service configuration reference only. Actual costs and bandwidth limits are subject to the terms of your contract with the carrier. Please fill in the contract bandwidth accordingly.

      Add Field Engineer

      Click Add Field Engineers to input the details of personnel entering the Alibaba Cloud data center for construction. You may add one or more field engineers.

      Important

      Field engineer information is mandatory.

      Once you apply for LOA, the instance LOA Status will show LOA Applying. After Alibaba Cloud auditors approve the review, the LOA Status will update to LOA Approved.

      Note

      Reviews for access points within China take up to 2 business days, while those outside China take up to 3 business days.

    3. Receive text message notifications and follow the steps below:

      Note

      If the access point you applied for is a third-party data center access point, in Hong Kong, or an international data center access point, you can skip this step.

      1. Obtain the entry certificate: Click the entry certificate link in the text message, log on to the entry application platform, select the data center information, and click Confirm The Visit. Then click Entry Certificate to retrieve the entry QR code.

      2. Complete personal information:

        1. Copy the link from the text message into a computer browser to access the link, read and agree to the privacy protection statement and the Alibaba Cloud data center entry agreement.

        2. Fill in your personal information and click Submit Information. Once the page displays Submission Successful, you may close the browser window.

    4. After the LOA application is approved, you must download the LOA file. For more information, see Step 3: Implement the leased line construction and pay the resource occupancy fee.
