You can lease a Carrier's Express Connect to establish an Express Connect connection from your Local Data Center to Alibaba Cloud. Compared with the public network, it is more secure and reliable, with faster speeds and lower latency.
Access method
Two access methods are supported:
Dedicated circuit
You pull a line from your local IDC to the Alibaba Cloud Access Point, exclusively occupying a physical port on the Alibaba Cloud Access Point. The Construction Period is 1 to 3 months, and the maximum supported rate is 100 Gbps. You need to apply through the console on your own. For details, see Dedicated circuit access.
Shared circuit
Some Partners (Compliant Carriers) have already pre-connected Express Connects with Alibaba Cloud Access Points. You only need to contact the Partner to connect the line from your local IDC to its Access Point. Compared with Dedicated Access, Partner Access Points have broader geographic coverage and a shorter Construction Period (generally within 1 month). The connection between the Partner and Alibaba Cloud is Multi-Tenant Shared. For details, see Shared circuit access process.
Port specifications
Dedicated circuit:
Connection type: Supports MSTP, MPLS VPN, optical fiber direct connection, and other types.
Port standard: By default, 1000Base-LX and 10GBase-LR Optical Ports (LC mode, transmission distance 10 km) are supported.
Transmission rate: Supports 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps.
Currently, some legacy Electrical Port devices cannot support the advanced features of Express Connect. If you are still using an Electrical Port, contact the Carrier to migrate your access line to Optical Port.
Shared circuit: Consult the corresponding Partner.

Method 1: After the LOA application is approved, you can obtain the access point equipment room location and Access Device Location in the downloaded LOA file. The LOA file contains sensitive information such as the cabinet number, port position (Position), and the phone number of the on-site contact. This sensitive information is provided only in the LOA file and cannot be queried through other channels.
Method2: You can self-service apply for
ec_can_get_pconn_addressquota through Quota Center. After approval, you can query access points in the console:If you cannot see this quota, contact your account manager.
access point equipment room location: In the Access Point column of the target physical port, hover the pointer over the
icon to obtain the Access Point Location.access device location: Click the instance ID of the target physical port, and obtain the Access Device Location after entering the details page.
