Express Connect charges a monthly subscription fee for each port on your dedicated or shared circuit. Two factors determine the fee: the port's bandwidth and the geographic region where the port is provisioned.
Billing rules
Port fees are billed monthly on a subscription basis.
Three attributes determine your total port bill:
Port type: dedicated or shared
Port bandwidth: the specification selected at provisioning time
Region: which pricing zone the port is provisioned in (Chinese Mainland, Outside Chinese Mainland, or SAU Riyadh)
| Attribute | Rule |
|---|---|
| Billing cycle | All billing uses the UTC+8 time zone. A subscription cycle runs for a full calendar month from the moment of activation or renewal. Start time: the exact second the port is activated or renewed. End time: the same time on the same day of the following month(s). Bill generation: your bill is typically generated on the first day of the calendar month after a billing cycle ends. The actual generation time is subject to what the system displays. |
| Billing formula | . Your total bill is the sum of port fees across all regions where you have active ports. |
Example: You create a port at 13:00:00 on August 9, 2022 with a one-month subscription, then renew for a second month.
First billing cycle: 13:00:00, August 9, 2022 – 00:00:00, September 10, 2022
Second billing cycle: 00:00:00, September 10, 2022 – 00:00:00, October 10, 2022

Billing example
Scenario: On August 9, 2022, you subscribe to the following ports in the China (Beijing) region for two months.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Region | China (Beijing) — falls under Chinese Mainland pricing |
| Subscription duration | 2 months |
| Port 1 | 10 Gbps dedicated port |
| Port 2 | 2 Gbps shared port |
Fee calculation:
| Item | Unit price | Calculation | Subtotal |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 Gbps dedicated port (Chinese Mainland) | USD 720/month | USD 720 × 2 months | USD 1,440 |
| 2 Gbps shared port (Chinese Mainland) | USD 150/month | USD 150 × 2 months | USD 300 |
| Total | USD 720/month + USD 150/month = USD 870/month × 2 months | USD 1,740 |
FAQ
When does billing start and stop?
Billing starts at the exact second the port is activated or renewed. It stops at the same time on the same day of the following month(s), depending on your subscription duration.
Does the monthly fee cover one port or multiple ports?
Each port is billed independently. Your total bill is the sum of fees for all active ports across all regions.
What happens if I have ports in multiple regions?
Each region's ports are calculated separately using the applicable regional price. Your account bill is the sum of port fees across all regions.
