When you purchase a dedicated or shared Express Connect circuit, you are charged for the port over which the circuit is delivered. This is also known as the resource usage fee. The resource usage fee varies based on port specifications and port types.
Billing rules
The following table describes how the resource usage fee is billed.
Features | Rule |
Billing cycle and bill generation time | Monthly The billing cycle is based in the UTC+8 time zone, and is accurate to the second. Each billing cycle starts from the time when the service is activated or renewed and ends at 00:00:00 on the day after the expiration date. If the service is renewed before it expires, the next billing cycle starts when the previous billing cycle ends. After a billing cycle ends, bills are generated on the first day of the following calendar month. For example, you created an Express Connect circuit at 13:00:00 on August 9, 2022. The initial subscription duration is one month, and you manually renewed the circuit for one month before it expires.

Examples
For example, you created a 10 Gbit/s port for a dedicated Express Connect circuit and a 2 Gbit/s port for a shared Express Connect Circuit in the China (Beijing) region at 13:00:00 on August 9, 2022. The initial subscription duration is one month and you manually renewed the circuit for one month before it expires. The resource usage fee for the China (Beijing) region is calculated as follows:
Resource usage fee: (720 USD/month + 150 USD/month) × 2 months = USD 1,740
