A port resource usage fee applies when you purchase a dedicated or shared port for a physical connection. The fee varies based on the port specification and port type.
Billing rules
The port resource usage fee is charged on a monthly subscription basis. The following table describes the billing rules.
Attribute | Rule |
Billing cycle and statement generation | Monthly A billing cycle is based on your subscription duration in the UTC+8 time zone. It begins when a resource is activated or renewed and ends at 00:00:00 on the day after the expiration date. Your bill is typically generated on the first day of the calendar month after a billing cycle ends. The actual generation time is displayed in the console. Example: Assume that you create a shared or dedicated port instance at 13:00:00 on August 9, 2022, with a one-month subscription. You then manually renew the subscription for another month before it expires.

Billing example
Assume that you create a 10 Gbps dedicated port and a 2 Gbps shared port in the China (Beijing) region at 13:00:00 on August 9, 2022, with a subscription duration of 1 month. You then manually renew them for another month before they expire. The port resource usage fee in the China (Beijing) region is calculated as follows:
Port resource usage fee: (USD 720 + USD 150)/month × 2 months = USD 1,740.
