If a data migration or data synchronization task cannot meet your business requirements, you can upgrade the instance class of the task in the Data Transmission Service (DTS) console.
Prerequisites
The DTS task is in the Running, Paused, or Failed state.
The task is a data migration or data synchronization task. You do not need to configure instance class for change tracking tasks.
Billing
If the billing method is subscription,
Task configuration fee = (Daily fee of the task after upgrade - Daily fee of the task before upgrade) × (Subscription expiration date - Upgrade date)
If the billing method is pay-as-you-go,
The task configuration fee is calculated based on the new instance class of the task. The billing rules remain unchanged. A bill is generated on an hourly basis.
