Data Transmission Service (DTS) supports two task creation approaches: configure-before-purchase and purchase-before-configure. This document covers the purchase-before-configure approach, where you reserve capacity and lock in billing terms before finalizing task details. Use this approach when you need to secure a budget allocation before configuration begins.
After purchase, configure your task using the links at the end of each section.

Before you begin, make sure you have:

Purchase a data verification task
Data verification tasks support only pay-as-you-go billing. Purchasing incremental data verification separately is not supported.
Go to the DTS purchase page, or click Purchase Instance at the top of the Verification Task list.
Set the following parameters.

Purchase a serverless task
Only data synchronization supports pay-as-you-go serverless task purchases. Purchase-before-configure serverless instances have a default DU range of 1–16.

To purchase a cross-border data synchronization task, first apply for cross-border data synchronization permissions.

Synchronization Link Specification Select a link specification, measured in records synchronized per second. For production environments, select small or higher.
