Dataphin:Manual listing

Last Updated:Jan 19, 2026

Dataphin supports the manual listing and management of assets. After an asset is identified, you can decide whether to list it. Listed assets can be consumed from the asset catalog.

Prerequisites

  • Table, metric, or dashboard assets: You have purchased the Asset Operations value-added service and enabled the Asset Operations module for the current tenant.

  • API assets: You have purchased the Asset Operations value-added service and the DataService Studio feature.

  • To manage dashboard assets, you must first create an application system and a Quick BI metadata acquisition node. For more information, see Create and manage application systems and Create and manage metadata acquisition nodes.

Function overview

Only assets with a Listed status can be searched and viewed in the asset catalog. Assets acquired from data sources and the data mid-end initially appear in the pending assets list. Before you list an asset, you must complete its properties, such as its topic, folder, and visibility scope. For assets that do not need to be listed, you can change their status to Do Not List for easier management.

Pending Asset

These are assets acquired from specified data sources through collection adapters or obtained from the data mid-end. You can decide whether to list them based on your business scenario. To list an asset, you must complete its properties. This includes setting the target topic and folder, visibility scope, and whether to allow access to the data profiling report. If an asset is not suitable for listing, you can set its status to Do Not List.

Do Not List Asset

You can designate assets that do not need to be listed as Do Not List assets. If you later decide to list them for consumption, you can change their status back to Pending Asset. Then, you can list them in the asset catalog and set maintenance permissions.
