    Dataphin:Manage unlisted assets

    Mark assets as unlisted to exclude them from catalogs. To list them later, reclassify them as quasi-assets and configure maintenance permissions.

    Prerequisites

    • Table assets, metric assets, or dashboard assets: You have purchased the Asset Operations value-added service, and you have enabled the Asset Operations module for your tenant.

    • API assets: You have purchased the Asset Operations value-added service and the Data Service feature.

    • To manage dashboard assets, you must first create an application system and a Quick BI collection task. For instructions, see Create and manage application systems and Create and manage metadata collection tasks.

    Permissions

    • Super administrators, operations administrators, and users in a custom global role with Listing Management - Management permissions can create and manage unlisted assets.

    • Business system operators and maintainers with asset maintenance permissions can manage assets within their assigned business systems.

    Procedure

    1. In the top navigation bar on the Dataphin homepage, choose Assets > Catalog Management.

    2. In the left navigation pane, choose Manual Listing > an asset type, and click Unlisted Assets to open the Unlisted Assets tab.

      The list shows each asset's name, technical metrics, asset source, owning catalog, information completeness, unlisting time, unlisting reason, and operator.

      • Asset Source: Origin of the asset. The Dataphin data section contains only logical tables. For API assets, the source is a Data Service project. For Quick BI dashboards, the source is a Quick BI workspace.

      • Information Completeness: Whether all required attributes are complete and valid.

    3. (Optional) Filter assets by asset source, BI workspace/directory, owning catalog, information completeness, metric type, unlisting time, unlisting reason, operator, or deleted asset status. Filtering by deleted asset status is not supported for business metrics. You can also search by keyword.

    4. The Actions column supports the following operations, consistent across all asset types. This example uses a table asset. You can select up to 10,000 assets per batch operation.

      Click the image icon to view asset details. In the upper-right corner, select Hide Read-only Properties to show only editable fields.

      Change to quasi-asset

      Reclassifies the asset as a quasi-asset.

      Configure Maintenance Permissions

      This operation is not supported for business metrics.

      • Single operation: Click Configure Maintenance Permissions to assign maintainers. Maintainers handle day-to-day upkeep, including editing information and listing or unlisting the asset.

      • Batch operation: Click Configure Maintenance Permissions at the bottom of the page to add or modify maintainers in batch.

        • Modify: Replaces current maintainers of selected assets with the specified ones.

        • Add: Keeps existing maintainers and adds the specified ones.

      View change records

      Shows attribute and state changes for a single asset over the last 30 days.

      Export assets

      Click Export Assets at the bottom of the page to export selected assets. Assets for which you lack maintenance permissions are automatically skipped.

      Large exports may take time. Check progress and download files from the Batch Management - Batch Operation Records page.

      Deleted assets are view-only.
