AnalyticDB for MySQL is a cloud-native, enterprise-grade data warehouse that unifies database and big data capabilities in a single service. Fully compatible with MySQL, it makes data queryable within milliseconds of ingestion and resolves complex analytical queries in under a second — supporting high-throughput batch processing and real-time analysis on structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data without switching platforms.

High elasticity and extensibility

AnalyticDB for MySQL is built on a cloud-native architecture that decouples storage and computing resources. There is no fixed resource bundle to manage: scale computing and storage independently, on demand, so you pay only for the capacity your workloads need and resolve individual bottlenecks without over-provisioning.

High performance at low costs

  • Data is queryable milliseconds after it is written, even under high write volume, with strong consistency guaranteed.

  • Complex queries run 10 times faster than relational databases. Large-scale operations complete within seconds or milliseconds.

  • Scale clusters on a schedule or on demand as workloads change. With tiered storage of hot and cold data, billing is based on actual storage usage — not reserved capacity — significantly reducing both computing and storage costs.

Data Lakehouse

Enterprise Edition, Basic Edition, and Data Lakehouse Edition share a unified resource scheduling model. Use scheduled or on-demand scaling to rightsize computing resources for each workload, increasing resource utilization and reducing costs.

All three editions share the same billing units, metadata, programming languages, and transmission links. They also use a unified permissions model, so teams work in one environment instead of maintaining separate pipelines.

Serverless Spark

Enterprise Edition, Basic Edition, and Data Lakehouse Edition expose the full multi-language Spark compute engine through a standardized interface. The Spark engine runs directly on AnalyticDB for MySQL's computing resources and internal storage: use Serverless Spark for low-cost batch processing via on-demand scaling, and write results directly to internal storage for immediate real-time analysis.

Open storage

Enterprise Edition, Basic Edition, and Data Lakehouse Edition support the open-source Hudi framework for near-real-time batch data updates. Hudi enables incremental data ingestion and near-real-time processing on Object Storage Service (OSS), keeping storage costs low without sacrificing data freshness.

Ease of use

  • AnalyticDB for MySQL is highly compatible with MySQL protocols and the SQL:92, SQL:99, and SQL:2003 standards. Get started with standard SQL, common BI tools, and extract, transform, load (ETL) tools — no proprietary query language to learn.
