You can modify the configurations of instances that are created on hosts to meet business
requirements. The configurations include the instance type and the storage capacity.
You can also change the zone for instances that run MySQL.
Background information
For more information about ApsaraDB for MyBase, see What is ApsaraDB for MyBase?.
Impacts
- When you modify the configurations of an instance, a 30-second transient connection
may occur. You cannot perform most of the operations related to databases, accounts,
and networks. We recommend that you modify the configurations of an instance during
off-peak hours or make sure that your application can automatically reconnect to the
instance.
- If you modify the configurations of a primary instance, all the read-only instances
that are attached to the primary instance restart.
- If you modify the configurations of a MyBase for PostgreSQL read-only instance, only
a transient connection occurs.
Notes
You can expand the storage capacity of a MyBase for PostgreSQL instance when services
are running in the instance. This operation does not interrupt services.
The operations to modify the configurations of an instance vary based on the database
engine. Click one of the following links to check the procedure that can apply to
your database engine.

the modifications take effect, and click OK. If the instance runs MySQL, you can also change the zone of the instance.

Note If you set the storage type to Enhanced SSD when you created the instance, you must complete the payment on the page that appears.
If you set the storage type to Local SSD when you created the instance, you do not need to pay extra fees. You have paid for
the storage space of local SSDs when you purchased the host where the instance resides.
