    ApsaraDB for MyBase:Change configuration

    Change the zone, instance type, or storage capacity of an ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL instance to match evolving workload requirements.

    Prerequisites

    Before you begin, make sure that you have:

    Before you modify

    Review the following impacts before making changes:

    • Service interruption: Configuration changes may cause one or two interruptions of about 30 seconds each. During an interruption, most database, account, and network operations are unavailable. Schedule changes during off-peak hours, or make sure your application can automatically reconnect to the instance.

    • Read-only instance restart: After modifying a primary instance, all attached read-only instances are automatically restarted.

    Modify the instance configuration

    1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for MyBase console.

    2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select a region.

    3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters. Find the dedicated cluster you want to manage and click Details in the Actions column.

    4. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances. Open the Change Specifications page using one of the following methods:

      • Find the instance and choose More > Change Specifications.

      • Find the instance and click Details in the Actions column. In the left-side navigation pane, click Service Availability, move the pointer over the instance, and click Renew Change.

      The Renew Change method is only available when the primary instance is a master-replica instance.

    5. Configure the following parameters.

      Parameter Description Availability
      Change Zone to Select a new zone for the instance. High-availability Edition instances only
      vSwitch Select a new vSwitch for the instance. High-availability Edition instances only
      Instance Type Select a new instance type. All instances
      Storage Capacity Select a new storage capacity for the instance. For High-availability Edition instances using local SSDs, storage can be scaled up or down. All instances
      Switching Time Select the time when the modification takes effect. All instances

    6. Click OK.

      • If the instance uses enhanced SSDs, complete the payment on the page that appears.

      • If the instance uses local SSDs, no additional payment is required. Storage fees are included in the fees paid for the host.
