Qoder has completed an independent SOC 2 Type II examination covering the Security, Availability, and Confidentiality Trust Services Categories. Over a defined review period, an independent third-party auditor evaluated the design and operating effectiveness of Qoder's controls within the scope of the examination.

Why this audit matters for enterprises

AI coding tools handle an organization's most critical digital asset: source code. As agent capabilities extend from code completion to autonomous task execution, their reach extends into repositories, terminals, and execution environments. Enterprise evaluation criteria have accordingly expanded beyond product capability to how data is handled, how access is controlled, and whether operations are traceable.

These questions require independent, verifiable evidence rather than vendor self-declarations. That is why Qoder undertook this audit.

About SOC 2 Type II

SOC 2 is an auditing framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) based on its trust services criteria, and is widely recognized in enterprise vendor security assessments worldwide. A Type II report requires an independent auditor to verify the operating effectiveness of controls over an extended observation period, making it the most rigorous form of SOC 2 attestation.

The three categories covered by this examination correspond to enterprises' core concerns in AI coding. Security addresses protection against unauthorized access and attacks. Confidentiality ensures that sensitive information such as source code and business data remains under strict controls. Availability safeguards service continuity through monitoring and incident response.

Product practices supporting the audit

SOC 2 audits an organization's control environment. At Qoder, those controls are reflected both in how the product is built and in the product itself.

On the engineering side, Qoder maintains a standardized development management system that embeds security and quality requirements throughout design, development, testing, and release, so that every product iteration is delivered through a controlled process.

Within the product, during code completion, Qoder reads only the code context necessary to generate suggestions. Agent operations on terminals and files are executed in isolated sandbox environments with clearly defined boundaries. Qoder also supports Hooks, which can automatically run custom commands at key points in agent execution, allowing teams to apply checks and control logic based on their own security requirements, thereby improving the security of agent execution and giving teams greater control over it.

For team and enterprise customers, Qoder also provides service-side organization-level data governance and supports auditing of management-plane operations, with traceable audit records for key administrative actions.

An ongoing commitment

The conclusions of a SOC 2 Type II report are limited to its observation period. Qoder will continue to maintain the relevant controls and undergo periodic re-examination. Together with our ISO/IEC 27001 certification, this audit forms the foundation of Qoder's security and compliance program, which will continue to evolve alongside our product capabilities and enterprise requirements.
