In this article, we will show you how to use Alibaba Cloud Global Accelerator to speed up access to overseas servers from China, also compare the speed between AWS endpoint and Alibaba GA.

Each listener is associated with one endpoint group, and each endpoint group contains one or more endpoints.
Endpoint groups
To associate each endpoint group with a region, you can specify the region to which you want to distribute network traffic. After a listener forwards network traffic to the associated endpoint group based on the association rules, GA distributes network traffic to the optimal endpoints of the endpoint group.
Endpoints
Endpoints can be IP addresses or domain names of origin servers, such as Server Load Balancer (SLB) instances, Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances, and custom origin servers. Alibaba Cloud public IP addresses are supported.
You can set the weight of each endpoint in an endpoint group. The weight specifies the proportion of network traffic that is forwarded to each endpoint. GA calculates the total weight of all endpoints in the endpoint group. Then, GA distributes the data traffic to each endpoint based on the individual weight as a percentage of the total weight.
