SSL-VPN quotas define upper limits for SSL-VPN resources and API call rates. View your current quota usage, request increases for adjustable quotas, and create quota templates to automate quota management across your organization.
Quota management consoles
Manage SSL-VPN quotas in either of the following consoles:
| Console | When to use | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Quota Center | Centralized quota management across all Alibaba Cloud services | Quota Center console |
| VPC console | Product-specific quota management under VPN Gateway | VPC console |
Both consoles display the same general quota items and produce the same results. For API rate limits, use the Quota Center console.
Quota types
SSL-VPN quotas fall into two categories:
| Quota type | Description | Adjustable |
|---|---|---|
| General Quota | Resource-level limits. Displays quota name, description, and current usage. | Yes. You can request increases in both consoles. |
| API Rate Limit | Rate limits for API calls. Displays API version and quota value. Filterable by keyword and Region. | Yes. You can request increases in the Quota Center console only. VPN Gateway API rate limits are not displayed in the VPC console. |
Prerequisites
By default, only Alibaba Cloud accounts can manage quotas in Quota Center. To allow RAM users to manage quotas, grant the AliyunQuotasFullAccess permission.
