Expenses and Costs:Cost alerts

Last Updated:Feb 03, 2026

On the Cost Alerts page, you can configure monitoring alerts for key metrics to monitor your spending and resource consumption. This helps you track your cloud cost management process and enables proactive management.

High spending alerts

After you enable alerts, a text message is sent once a day if the daily bill for a specified product exceeds the alert threshold. You can specify up to 10 products. For products that are billed monthly, an alert is sent only once after the bill is generated at the beginning of the next month. The text message recipient is the Account Contact set in Message Center.

On the Expenses and Costs > Cost Monitoring > Cost Alerts page, click Details in the High Spending Alert section to set the maximum spending alert threshold by product.

Available credit alerts

After you enable alerts, a notification is sent once a day by text message, email, and internal message if your account's available credit falls below the threshold. These notifications are sent for up to five consecutive days. For more information, see Monitor account balance.

Budget alerts

You can set alert conditions for your budgets. An alert notification is sent when the actual or predicted cost reaches your specified threshold.

On the Expenses and Costs > Cost Monitoring > Cost Alerts page, click Details in the Budget Alert section to go to the Budget Management page. For more information, see Set budget alerts.

Anomaly detection alerts

After you enable alerts, the system automatically sends a notification when a cost anomaly is detected or when a detected anomaly meets your specified threshold. For more information, see Set anomaly detection alerts.

Resource plan alerts

You can set usage alerts for your resource plans to trigger notifications when usage reaches a threshold. For more information, see Set resource plan usage alerts.
