Set up remaining quota alerts to get notified automatically when a resource plan's usage drops below a threshold you define. Act before a plan runs out — purchase a new one or adjust usage — to avoid unexpected pay-as-you-go charges or service interruptions for services that rely on resource plans, such as real-time computing or Edge Security Acceleration.
How it works
When the remaining quota of a resource plan reaches the percentage you set, the system sends one alert. If the plan is later exhausted, you get a second alert. Alerts are delivered via SMS, email, or internal message. You can also route them to team chat platforms using webhooks.
Limitations
Remaining quota alerts are supported only for the following plan types:
| Plan type | Examples | Alert behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly plans | Calendar month, dynamic month, free tier by month | One alert per billing period when the threshold is reached; one alert when the quota is exhausted |
| Plans with no fixed period | — | One alert during the validity period when the threshold is reached; one alert when the quota is exhausted |
Remaining quota alerts are not supported for resource plans with an hourly or daily commitment period.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
An active resource plan (monthly or no fixed period)
Configure alerts
Step 1: Open the alert settings
Log on to the Resource Plan page. In the top-right corner, click Resource PlanSet Remaining Quota Alert.

Step 2: Set the alert threshold
Enable alerts and set the remaining quota percentage at which you want to be notified.
For all resource plans: In the Set Remaining Quota Alert Uniformly section, toggle Enable Alert and select a Remaining Quota Proportion.
For a single resource plan: In the alert list, find the plan by its Resource Package Name, toggle Enable Alert, and select a Remaining Quota Proportion.
Plans in the list use their individual settings. Any new resource plans you purchase use the settings from Set Remaining Quota Alert Uniformly. If you disable unified alerts, you must enable alerts manually for each new plan.

Step 3: Configure who receives alerts
Basic notification recipients
On the Common Settings page of the Message Center, set Notification Type to Notifications of Product Expiration. Select one or more notification methods: Internal Messages, Email, or SMS. The Contact defaults to the secure phone number for your account, but you can update it.

Chatbot and webhook recipients (optional)
On the Chatbot Recipient Management page of the Message Center, integrate webhooks to deliver alerts to team chat platforms such as DingTalk, WeCom, Lark, and Slack. The Notifications of Product Expiration message type covers alerts for remaining quota, quota exhaustion, upcoming expiration, and expiration.
