    The route management feature allows you to configure the daily upper limit of messages that you can send to a specific country or region. This topic describes how to manage routes.

    Usage notes

    • You can limit the maximum number of messages that you can send per day to one or more countries or regions. If the number of messages sent to a country or region in a day exceeds the upper limit, Alibaba Cloud SMS suspends the message delivery to the country or region. For countries and regions for which you do not configure a daily upper limit, the message delivery is not limited.

    • The route management feature provides the "Disable Message Delivery" switch. If you turn on the switch, you can send messages only to the countries or regions for which you configure a daily upper limit. You cannot send messages to other countries and regions. You must proceed with caution based on your business requirements.

    • If the number of messages sent to a country or region in a day exceeds the upper limit, Alibaba Cloud SMS suspends the message delivery to the country or region and send notifications to alert contacts by email and SMS.

    Procedure

    1. Log on to the SMS console.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Configurations > General Settings.

    3. Click the Message Delivery Settings tab and then click the Route Management tab.

    4. Click Add Route. In the Add Route dialog box, select a country or region and configure the daily upper limit.

    5. You can also click Add Routes to add multiple routes.

    6. Click OK.

    7. Then, you can click Disable Message Delivery to disable message delivery to other countries or regions.

      Important

      If you turn on Disable Message Delivery, you can send messages only to the countries or regions for which you configure a daily upper limit.
