Service Catalog:Manage TagOptions

Create, update, delete, enable, disable, associate, and disassociate TagOptions in Service Catalog.

Create a TagOption

  1. Log on to the Service Catalog console as the administrator.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Administrator > TagOptions library.

  3. On the TagOptions library page, click Create new TagOption.

  4. In the Create new TagOption dialog box, enter the TagOption key and value, and click Confirm.

    By default, a new TagOption is Activate.

Update a TagOption value

  1. On the TagOptions library page, find the TagOption and click Update in the Operation column.

  2. In the Update TagOption dialog box, enter the new TagOption value and click Confirm.

    Note

    You can modify only the TagOption value, not the key.

Disable a TagOption

  1. On the TagOptions library page, find the TagOption and click Deactivate in the Operation column.

  2. In the Deactivate TagOption dialog box, review the information and click Confirm.

    A Deactivate TagOption cannot be associated with a portfolio or product.

Enable a TagOption

  1. On the TagOptions library page, find the TagOption and click Activate in the Operation column.

  2. In the Activate TagOption dialog box, review the information and click Confirm.

Delete a TagOption

  1. On the TagOptions library page, find the TagOption and click Delete in the Operation column.

  2. In the Delete dialog box, review the information and click Confirm.

Associate a TagOption with a product portfolio

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Administrator > Portfolio management.

  2. On the Portfolio management page, click the name of the portfolio.

  3. On the portfolio details page, click the TagOption tab, select the TagOption, and click Associate.

  4. In the Associate TagOption dialog box, review the information and click Confirm.

Disassociate a TagOption from a product portfolio

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Administrator > Portfolio management.

  2. On the Portfolio management page, click the name of the portfolio.

  3. On the portfolio details page, click the TagOption tab, select the TagOption, and click Disassociate.

  4. In the Disassociate TagOption dialog box, review the information and click Confirm.

Associate a TagOption with a product

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Administrator > Product management.

  2. On the Product management page, click the name of the product.

  3. On the product details page, click the TagOption tab, select the TagOption, and click Associate.

  4. In the Associate TagOption dialog box, review the information and click Confirm.

Disassociate a TagOption from a product

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Administrator > Product management.

  2. On the Product management page, click the name of the product.

  3. On the product details page, click the TagOption tab, select the TagOption, and click Disassociate.

  4. In the Disassociate TagOption dialog box, review the information and click Confirm.

What to do next

After you associate a TagOption with a product or portfolio, Service Catalog automatically tags the product instance when an end user runs Launch a product or Update an instance.
