Pay-as-you-go Tair (Redis OSS-compatible) instances are billed as long as they exist, even when idle. Release instances you no longer need to stop charges immediately.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
An instance that uses pay-as-you-go billing
An instance in the Running state
Child instances of a distributed instance must be released from the Global Live More tab on the Global Distributed Cache page in the Tair console. See Remove a distributed instance.
Before you release
Back up your instance data before releasing. The release operation permanently deletes the instance and all its data.
To back up data, see Backup and restoration solutions.
Instances that meet specific requirements are moved to the recycle bin and retained for a period. You can unlock or restore them. See Manage instances in the recycle bin.
Release an instance
This operation immediately deletes the instance and its data. Proceed with caution.
Log on to the console and go to the Instances page. In the top navigation bar, select the region where the instance resides.
Find the instance and click
> Release in the Actions column. In the dialog box, copy the Instance ID to the text box and click OK. If prompted, complete secondary authentication such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). After passing authentication, you do not need to authenticate again for 15 minutes. If the dialog box indicates that the operation cannot be performed, release protection is enabled. Disable release protection and retry.
