The subscription billing method allows you to use resources only after you pay for the resources. You must make a payment based on the subscription duration when you purchase resources. This billing method is suitable for long-term stable business for which the resource usage cycle can be estimated. This topic describes the billing rules, billing cycles, and unit prices in different regions of the subscription billing method.

Billing rule |
For more information about the unit prices in different regions, see Unit prices in different regions. Important
For example, the unit prices of management resources and computing resources are both USD 45.94 per CU per month. If you want to create a workspace that uses 8 CUs as computing resources and set the subscription duration to three months, the fee for creating the workspace in the Intel X86 architecture is USD 1378.2, which is calculated by using the following formula: Fee for management resources + Fee for computing resources = 2 CUs × USD 45.94 per CU per month × 3 months + 8 CUs × USD 45.94 per CU per month × 3 months = USD 275.64 + USD 1102.56 = USD 1378.2. |
Billing cycle | The billing cycle (based on UTC+8:00) of a subscription workspace is the subscription duration of the workspace. The billing cycle starts from the time (accurate to the second) when the subscription workspace is activated or renewed and ends at 00:00:00 the next day after the expiration date. |
Resource changes for an expired subscription instance | The impact on your business varies based on the time period after the subscription workspace expires. For more information, see Resource changes for an expired subscription instance. |
Renewal | If you want to continue using a subscription workspace after it expires, you can renew the workspace. For more information, see Renewal policy. Note
|
Refund | You make a payment based on the subscription duration when you purchase a subscription workspace. If you no longer require the workspace due to changes in business requirements, you can submit a ticket to unsubscribe from the workspace and apply for a refund. For more information about the operations and rules, see Refund policy. |
Resource scaling | After you create a subscription workspace, you can modify the resource configurations of your workspace to scale the workspace. For more information, see Reconfigure resources. |

Resource changes for an expired subscription instance
A subscription workspace has a validity period based on the subscription duration that you specify when you purchase the workspace. After the subscription duration of a subscription workspace ends, you can no longer use the workspace. If you do not renew the workspace within a specified period of time, the workspace is automatically released. The following figure shows the resource changes for an expired workspace and related operations.
Payment status | Suspension policy | Solution
Before the workspace expires | The system sends notifications to you by email or text message. | Renew the workspace. After the renewal is successful, you can continue using the workspace. For more information, see Renewal policy.
After the workspace expires | Within 15 days after the workspace expires | You cannot access the workspace. The deployments that are running in the workspace stop running. | Renew the workspace. After the renewal is successful, you can continue using the workspace. For more information, see Renewal policy.
15 days after the workspace expires | The workspace is automatically released. The deployment data of the workspace is deleted and cannot be restored. Note Resources such as the JAR packages that you upload are not deleted and are stored in your Object Storage Service (OSS) buckets. | You cannot restore the instance. |
