Manually renew a subscription ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server instance to prevent service interruptions and data loss. You can renew an instance at any time before it expires, or up to 15 days after it expires.
Pay-as-you-go and serverless RDS instances never expire and do not need renewal.

Renew instances in the ApsaraDB RDS console
Use this method to renew one or more instances directly from the RDS console.

Log on to the ApsaraDB RDS console and go to the Instances page. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your instance resides.

Select one or more instances to renew.

Single instance: Click the instance ID, then click Renew in the Status section.

Multiple instances: Select the instances and click Renew below the instance list. In the Renew dialog box, confirm the selection and click OK to open the Renewal page. On the Manual tab, select the instances and click Batch Renew.

Set the Duration for each instance. Longer subscription periods are offered at lower prices.

Read and accept the Terms of Service, then click Pay Now (single instance) or Pay (multiple instances) and complete the payment.
Renew instances in the Billing Management console
Use this method to manage renewal across services from a single billing interface.

Log on to the ApsaraDB RDS console. In the top navigation bar, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.

On the Manual tab, find the instances to renew.
NoteIf an instance appears on the Auto or Nonrenewal tab instead, click Enable Manual Renewal in the Actions column and click OK. The instance then appears on the Manual tab.

Select one or more instances to renew.

Single instance: Click Renew in the Actions column.

Multiple instances: Select the instances and click Batch Renew at the bottom of the page.

Set the Duration for each instance, then click Buy Now (single instance) or Pay (multiple instances) and complete the payment.
