To improve the accuracy and globalization of feature naming, Alibaba Cloud plans to standardize the naming of the I/O acceleration and I/O burst features in ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL on April 27, 2025. This adjustment only involves feature renaming and does not change the feature logic. You do not need to modify your business or application settings.

Introduction
The I/O acceleration and I/O burst features will be renamed for ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL. The following table lists the original and new names of the features.

Impacts
Workloads: Only the feature names are changed. The feature logic is not affected, and your workloads are not interrupted.
Service continuity: No downtime occurs during the renaming process. Service traffic is not affected.
Configuration compatibility: Existing RDS instances automatically use the new names. No parameter adjustments are required.
