ApsaraDB RDS:MariaDB 10.6 is supported for ApsaraDB RDS from August 8, 2024

Starting August 8, 2024, MariaDB 10.6 is supported for ApsaraDB RDS. MariaDB 10.6 is equivalent to the official release of MariaDB 10.6.11. More MariaDB versions are available for you to choose based on your business requirements.

  • Region: China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Beijing), China (Shenzhen), China (Guangzhou), China (Nantong), China (Heyuan), China (Ulanqab), China (Qingdao), China (Chengdu), China (Zhangjiakou), China (Hohhot), China (Hong Kong), South Korea (Seoul), US (Silicon Valley), US (Virginia), Thailand (Bangkok), Philippines (Manila), Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), or Indonesia (Jakarta)

    Note

    The new version is supported in regions in phases. The regions that are displayed in the ApsaraDB RDS console prevail.

Usage notes

When you create an RDS instance, you can select MariaDB 10.6.

Note

You cannot upgrade the major engine version of an RDS instance from MariaDB 10.3 to MariaDB 10.6.

  1. Log on to the ApsaraDB RDS console. In the upper part of the page, select the region in which you want to create an RDS instance and click Create Instance.

  2. Configure the Billing Method parameter.

  3. Set the Database Engine parameter to MariaDB 10.6.

  4. Perform the subsequent operations based on Create an ApsaraDB RDS for MariaDB instance.
