After a passkey is registered for a Resource Access Management (RAM) user, the user can use it to log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console. Passkey authentication first verifies that the device is registered to the user, and uses the device's built-in authentication method—such as fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, or a PIN—to confirm the user's identity.
Step 1: Enable the passkey feature for RAM users
A RAM administrator must first allow RAM users to log on with passkeys in the global security settings.
Log on to the RAM console as a RAM administrator.
In the Security section of the Settings page, click Modify.

In the Security panel, enable the Allow users to login with passkey option.

Step 2: Log on to the console with a passkey
After a passkey is registered for a RAM user, the user can use it to log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console. The following steps use Windows 10 as an example.
Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console as a RAM user.
On the RAM User Logon page, enter the username of the RAM user and click Next.

Click Passkey Logon.
NoteIf you do not want to use a passkey, you can click Logon using password to use your RAM user password instead.

If you have multiple passkeys registered, select the one that you want to use.
Your device will automatically prompt you for passkey verification. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the authentication.
