PolarDB:Billing method 2: pay-as-you-go

Last Updated:May 20, 2024

If you use the pay-as-you-go storage billing method, you do not need to configure the maximum storage space. The storage space is dynamically scaled based on the amount of stored data. You are charged based on the actual storage usage. Fees are deducted from your account on an hourly basis.

Scenarios

Your Alibaba Cloud account has small volumes of data stored in the PolarDB clusters of specific regions, and the amount of data generated by your business is prone to frequent fluctuations.

Purchase pay-as-you-go clusters

A serverless architecture is used for storage. Therefore, you do not need to specify the storage capacity when you purchase clusters. The storage capacity is automatically increased when the amount of data increases. You are charged for only the storage that you use. On the Basic Information page of a cluster, you can view the details of Database Storage Usage. For more information, see View the database storage usage.
