Pay-as-you-go clusters
Pay-as-you-go clusters are billed on an hourly basis. After you change the configuration, you are billed at the new hourly rate.

If 50 days remain in the subscription period, the fee to pay is (14,400 / 30 / 24 × 50 × 24) - (7,200 / 30 / 24 × 50 × 24) = 12,000 USD. |
Downgrade or delete nodes | Refund amount = (Monthly price of the old configuration / 30 / 24 × Remaining subscription duration in hours) - (Monthly price of the new configuration / 30 / 24 × Remaining subscription duration in hours) Example: The total fee for the current configuration for three months is 3,500 USD. After you apply a coupon, the actual payment is 3,000 USD. After two months of use, the value of the remaining duration is 1,000 USD. The price of the new configuration for one month is 800 USD. The refund is 1,000 - 800 = 200 USD. Note You can receive a refund for downgrading a subscription cluster, but you cannot receive a refund for the entire cluster. To do this, please contact us to submit a request. After the request is approved, the subscription cluster is frozen and automatically deleted after 14 days. |

Q: Why is my refund for the downgrade less than expected?
A: Please confirm the following before you downgrade:
You received a discount on the original cluster order. For example, you received a 15% discount on the annual subscription for the original cluster. If the original price of the cluster was 1,000 USD, you paid 850 USD. The refund for the downgrade is calculated based on the actual payment of 850 USD.
You used a coupon for the original cluster order. For example, you used a coupon to purchase the original cluster and paid 500 USD. The refund for the downgrade is calculated based on the actual payment of 500 USD.
