Network Intelligence Service:Work with CEN topology

Last Updated:Apr 01, 2026

The CEN topology in Network Intelligence Service (NIS) visualizes the intra-region and inter-region connections between transit routers deployed on a Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) instance. The topology is generated from real-time configurations, giving you an up-to-date view of how global cloud resources are connected. Use it to understand your network layout and inspect basic details about any connected network instance.

Generate the topology

  1. Log on to the NIS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Topology > CEN Topology.

  3. On the CEN Topology page, select a CEN instance ID from the drop-down list, then click Generate Topology. The topology loads and displays the network instances attached to the selected CEN instance, along with their intra-region and inter-region connections.

  4. (Optional) In the Configure section, adjust the display:

    OptionEffect
Color InversionChanges the colors of the entity icons
Show Instance IDDisplays the instance ID below each entity icon

To inspect a transit router, find it in the topology and click View Basic Information in its toolbar. You can then view the transit router's instance ID, name, and status.
