Microservices Engine:Configure a DingTalk chatbot to send alert notifications

Last Updated:Mar 11, 2026

When an alert rule triggers in Microservices Engine (MSE), you may need the notification to reach your team immediately. By adding a DingTalk chatbot to a group, MSE sends alert notifications to the group through a webhook.

The setup has three parts: get a webhook URL from DingTalk, register the chatbot as a contact in MSE, and link it to an alert rule.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that you have:

  • The DingTalk desktop client installed on your PC

  • A DingTalk group where you want to receive alert notifications

  • Permissions in the MSE console to manage alert contacts and alert rules

Step 1: Get the webhook URL from DingTalk

Create a custom chatbot in the DingTalk group and copy its webhook URL. MSE uses this URL to post alert notifications to the group.

  1. Open the DingTalk desktop client and go to the group where you want to receive alerts.

  2. Click the Group settings icon icon in the upper-right corner.

  3. In the Group Settings panel, find the Group Management section and click Bot.

  4. Click Add Robot.

  5. In the Robot dialog box, click Add Robot, then select the Custom card.

  6. In the Robot details dialog box, click Add.

  7. Add a profile picture, enter a name for the chatbot, read and accept the terms of service, then click Finished.

To receive service inspection alerts, select Custom Keywords in the Security Settings section and enter Microservice Online Monitoring as the keyword.

  8. Copy the webhook URL displayed in the Add Robot dialog box and save it for Step 2.

Step 2: Add the chatbot as a contact in MSE

Add the DingTalk chatbot as a contact in the MSE console. For detailed instructions, see Create a contact in the Manage alert contacts topic.

Step 3: Link the contact to an alert rule

Associate the chatbot contact with an alert rule so that MSE sends notifications to the DingTalk group when the rule triggers.

  1. In the MSE console, create a new alert rule or edit an existing one.

  2. Set Notification Objects to DingTalk/Lark/WeCom.

  3. Select the chatbot contact you created in Step 2.

  4. Save the alert rule.

For detailed instructions, see Manage alert rules.

Verify the integration

After you complete all three steps, when an alert is triggered, you can receive alert notifications from the specified DingTalk group.

Disable DingTalk alert notifications

To stop receiving alert notifications through the DingTalk chatbot, remove it from the group:

  1. Open the DingTalk group and click the Group settings icon icon in the upper-right corner.

  2. In the Group Settings panel, find the Group Management section and click Bot.

  3. Remove the chatbot from the list.
