You can change the billing method of an ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance from subscription to pay-as-you-go.
Prerequisites
The instance uses the subscription billing method.
The instance is in the Running state.
NoteIf a subscription instance is locked because it expired, renew the instance first.
The instance type is available for purchase. See Unavailable instance types .
NoteTo change the billing method of an instance with an unavailable instance type to pay-as-you-go, change the instance configurations.
The instance runs MongoDB 4.0 or later.
NoteIf you want to change the billing method of an instance that runs a version earlier than MongoDB 4.0 to pay-as-you-go, you must first upgrade the database engine version. For more information, see Upgrade the major version of an instance and Update the minor version of an instance.
Fees
When you change the billing method of a subscription instance to pay-as-you-go, a refund for the remaining subscription duration is issued to your original payment account.
Impacts
This operation does not affect the running of the instance.
Before you change the billing method, carefully consider your options. If you plan to use the instance for a long period, we recommend that you continue to use the subscription billing method. This method is more cost-effective than pay-as-you-go and offers greater discounts for longer subscription durations.
Procedure
Log on to the MongoDB console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances, depending on the instance type.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the resource group and region where the instance is located.
In the row of the target instance, click More in the Actions column and select Switch To Pay-as-you-go.
Confirm the instance information, select the Terms of Service checkbox, and then click Buy Now.
