New feature

ApsaraDB for MongoDB released version 8.0. This version introduces new features such as an upgraded TCMalloc, optimized replication performance, and optimized resharding performance. It also includes enhancements and optimizations for sharding, logs, aggregation, and security.

Compared with MongoDB 7.0, version 8.0 improves read performance by 20% to 36% and write performance by 35% to 58%.

MongoDB 8.0 is supported for both replica set and sharded cluster instances.

If your sharded cluster instance has many nodes, you do not need to modify the configuration of all nodes when you perform a batch configuration change. You can modify the configuration of only one node and then synchronize the configuration to the other nodes.
