    Vector Retrieval Service for Milvus:Grant roles to an Alibaba Cloud account

    Before you use Vector Retrieval Service for Milvus (Milvus), you must grant the AliyunServiceRoleForCloudMilvus role to your Alibaba Cloud account. This role allows Milvus to access other Alibaba Cloud services.

    Authorization flow

    The first time you purchase the product, you are prompted to grant authorization.

    1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Milvus console.

    2. On the Dependency Check page, click Authorize.

      Note

      The system automatically grants the AliyunServiceRoleForCloudMilvus role and its associated AliyunServiceRolePolicyForCloudMilvus policy to your Alibaba Cloud account.
