Lindorm:Change the capacity of Capacity storage

Last Updated:Feb 02, 2026

This topic describes how to expand or reduce the capacity of Capacity storage (cold storage) for a Lindorm instance in the Lindorm.

Prerequisites

Capacity storage is enabled for the Lindorm instance. For more information, see Enable Capacity storage.

Usage notes

During a scale-out or scale-in operation, the instance status is RESIZING or Scaling In. At this time, you cannot perform other management operations, such as enabling a service or upgrading or downgrading the instance. Wait 5 to 10 minutes until the instance status changes to Running.

Important

The scale-in storage operation requires an extended period of time to complete. We recommend that you scale in Capacity storage during off-peak hours.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Lindorm console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.

  3. On the Instances page, click the ID of the target instance or click View Instance Details in the Actions column for the instance.

  4. In the left navigation pane, choose Cold Storage.

  5. Click Scale out Storage or Scale In Storage.image

  6. On the Change Specification page, set the Capacity-based cloud storage capacity as needed.

  7. Read and agree to the Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.
