Capacity storage keeps infrequently accessed historical data on low-cost storage media. This reduces overall storage spend. This topic describes how to enable Capacity storage for a Lindorm instance.
Limitations
Capacity storage cannot be enabled on instances that use local HDDs for data storage.
Enable Capacity storage when purchasing an instance
Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner, select the region where you want to deploy the instance.
Click Create.
Enable Capacity storage and set the storage size:
For Whether to select capacity cloud storage, click Yes.
Set Capacity-based cloud storage capacity.
NoteFor details on other instance parameters, see Create an instance.
Click Buy Now.
On the Confirm Order page, read and accept the Terms of Service.
Click Pay.
Enable Capacity storage for an existing instance
Enabling Capacity storage triggers a rolling restart. During the restart, read and write requests may experience latency fluctuations or connection interruptions. Perform this operation during off-peak hours. For more information, see Instance O&M FAQ.
Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner, select the region where the instance is deployed.
On the Instances page, click the ID of the target instance, or click View Instance Details in the Actions column.
In the left navigation pane, select Cold Storage.
Click Enable.
Enable Capacity storage and set the storage size:
For Whether to select capacity cloud storage, click Yes.
Set Capacity-based cloud storage capacity.
Read and accept the Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.
