Lindorm:Enable Capacity storage

Last Updated:Feb 02, 2026

Lindorm uses storage of the Capacity type to store cold data that is infrequently accessed. This way, the storage cost of historical data is reduced. This topic describes how to enable Capacity storage for a Lindorm instance.

Usage notes

If a Lindorm instance uses local HDDs to store data, Capacity storage cannot be enabled for the instance.

Enable Capacity storage when you purchase a Lindorm instance

  1. Log on to the Lindorm console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.

  3. Click Create.

  4. Enable Capacity storage and specify the storage capacity.

    1. For the Whether to select capacity cloud storage option, click Yes.

    2. Set Capacity-based cloud storage capacity.

    Note

For more information about setting other instance parameters, see Create an instance.

  5. Click Buy Now.

  6. On the Confirm Order page, read and accept the Terms of Service.

  7. Click Pay.

You can also enable Capacity storage for a Lindorm instance in the Lindorm console after the instance is created.

Warning

The activation process involves a rolling restart of instances. During this process, some read and write requests may experience latency fluctuations or connection interruptions. We recommend that you perform this operation during off-peak hours. For more information, see Instance O&M FAQ.
