Intelligent Media Services:Video translation

Last Updated:Jun 26, 2025

This topic describes the billing of video translation.

Billing

  • Rule: You are charged for video translation based on the duration of output videos, measured in seconds. The total seconds are converted into minutes for billing purposes. Any portion of time less than a full minute is billed proportionally.

  • Cycle: The billing cycle is 1 hour. IMS calculates your service usage and generates the bill of the previous hour in the current hour. The actual time is determined by the system.

Important

If you only upload an SRT file as the source for subtitle translation, you are charged based on the pricing of text translation.

Billing example

Assume that you perform subtitle translation in the Singapore region from 8:00 to 9:00 on a day. A video with subtitles is produced, lasting 84 seconds. According to the billing rule, the video translation fee incurred from 8:00 to 9:00 on that day is USD 0.63 per minute × (84/60) minutes = USD 0.882.
