E-MapReduce:Overdue payments

If your account has an overdue payment, your E-MapReduce (EMR) Serverless StarRocks instance becomes unavailable. You can top up your account within a specific period of time to restore your instance. This prevents the impact on your business. This topic describes the overdue payment of a StarRocks instance and how to view the overdue payment.

Overdue payments

The policies for handling the overdue payments of instances vary based on the billing method. The following table describes the policies.

Policy to handle overdue payments

Subscription

  • After an instance expires, the instance is locked and cannot be accessed.

  • On the eighth day after the instance is locked, the computing resources of the instance are released. After the instance is released, your business data will be immediately deleted and cannot be recovered.

Pay-as-you-go

  • If your Alibaba Cloud account has an overdue payment, all pay-as-you-go instances that belong to your Alibaba Cloud account become overdue.

  • In the first seven days after the instances become overdue, the instances are locked and cannot be accessed.

  • On the eighth day after the instances are locked, the computing resources of the instances are released. After the instance is released, your business data will be immediately deleted and cannot be recovered.

View overdue amounts

  1. Log on to the Expenses and Costs Console.

  2. On the Account Overview page, view the overdue amount.
