You can renew your subscription instances either manually or automatically to extend their service period. The renewal fee is the same as the purchase fee for a new instance. This renewal feature applies only to subscription instances. Pay-as-you-go instances do not require renewal; simply ensure your account has a sufficient balance. This topic describes how to manually renew an instance and enable auto-renewal.
Prerequisites
Ensure that your Alibaba Cloud account has no unpaid scale-out, scale-in, or renewal orders. If you have unpaid orders, you must complete the payment or cancel them before proceeding.
Precautions

Enable auto-renewal to prevent service interruptions due to an expired subscription.

If you manually renew an instance before an automatic payment is processed, the system reschedules the next auto-renewal to occur before the new expiration date.

Auto-renewal takes effect on the day after you enable it. If your instance expires the next day, you must renew it manually to avoid service interruption.
Auto-renewal
Enable auto-renewal when you create an instance
When you create a subscription instance, turn on the Enable Auto-renewal switch.
After you enable this feature, the subscription instance is automatically renewed 7 days before it expires. By default, the renewal period is one month.
From the Renewal Management page
You can enable auto-renewal for one or more EMR Serverless StarRocks instances on the Renewal Management page.

Log on to the E-MapReduce console.

In the top menu bar, hover over the Fees button and click Renewal Management.

On the Renewal Management page, find the instances that you want to renew by filtering by instance ID, status, time, product, and region.

Click Enable Auto-renewal in the Actions column of the target instance.
To enable auto-renewal for multiple instances, select their checkboxes and click Enable auto-renewal at the bottom of the list.

In the dialog box that appears, set the renewal period.

Click Enable auto-renewal.
On the instance details page
You can enable or modify the auto-renewal settings for an instance on its Instance Details page in the EMR Serverless StarRocks console.

Log on to the E-MapReduce console.

In the navigation pane, choose EMR Serverless > StarRocks.

In the top menu bar, select a region as needed.

Click the name of the target instance to open the Instance Details page.

On the Instance Details page, in the Basic Information section, click Auto-renewal.

Click Started, select a renewal period, and then click OK.
Manual renewal
In the E-MapReduce console

Log on to the E-MapReduce console.

In the navigation pane, choose EMR Serverless > StarRocks.

In the top menu bar, select a region as needed.

In the target instance's Actions column, click Renew.

In the dialog box that appears, set the renewal period and then select the service agreement checkbox.

Click OK and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment.
