Edge Security Acceleration:Configure browser cache TTL

Procedure

1. In the ESA console, select Websites. In the Website column, click your target site.

2. In the left navigation pane, choose Rules > Cache Rules.

3. Click Create Rule and specify a Rule Name.

4. In the If requests match... section, specify the match conditions for user requests. For details on configuring a rule expression, see Composition of a rule expression.

5. In the Cache Eligibility section, specify whether to bypass cache. For more information, see Cache eligibility.

6. In the Browser Cache TTL section, click Configure, set the browser cache TTL for the custom cache rule, and then click OK.

   • Honor Origin TTL: Browsers use the caching policy from the origin. If the origin specifies no caching policy, the ESA point of presence (POP) does not add or modify caching headers.

   • Do Not Cache: Browsers do not cache any resources from ESA, even if the origin provides a caching policy.

   • Use Custom TTL: Browsers use the TTL set in ESA, regardless of the origin's cache policy.
