Ubuntu - Elastic Compute Service - Alibaba Cloud Documentation Center

Alibaba Cloud provides Ubuntu public images based on the official Ubuntu distribution from Canonical Ltd. These images are regularly updated with the latest security patches and feature updates.

For more information about Ubuntu, visit the official Ubuntu website.
Maintenance for Ubuntu 14.04, 16.04, 18.04, and 20.04 has been discontinued in phases since April 2019. If you use Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances that run these images, take appropriate measures to ensure they continue to receive software updates and security patches. This helps prevent issues that can arise when an operating system is no longer maintained. For more information, seeUbuntu operating systems.

Note

In the following tables, entries for Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04, and 20.04 are marked with (EOL) to indicate that maintenance for these versions has been discontinued.
